Who we are
Amberg Norge AS is a subsidiary of the Swiss Amberg Group and is integrated with the parent company Amberg Engineering AG. The company provides consulting services in the fields of engineering geology, civil engineering, ventilation, fire and safety, especially aimed at complex underground projects. We also provide products, services and expertise from our other sister companies of the Amberg Group in the business areas: Amberg Technologies, Amberg Loglay and the test gallery VSH.
Amberg Norge AS is a consulting company that offers services in all phases of underground projects, from early phase to execution and offers services to both clients, contractors and consultants. Our specialists have broad and long experience from projects both at home and abroad and possess unique knowledge of complex ground conditions and different driving methods.
In addition to our own resources in Amberg Norge AS, which provides local services to our customers and projects, we benefit from the Amberg Group's extensive international expertise and experience in underground projects. In addition to our sister companies Amberg Technologies, Amberg Loglay and the test gallery VSH, Amberg Gruppen has its own companies within smart metrology in Amberg Infra7D, BIM and engineering services via Amberg InfoCon and participates in innovation and the development of digital solutions via our Digital Innovation Team.

The georeferenced collection and refinement of civil infrastructure information is our core area of expertise, with emphasis on tunnel surveying, underground 3D geophysical investigation, rail monitoring and mobile mapping.

For Bybanen Utbygging in Bergen, Amberg Norge AS has assisted in the transformation of an old railway tunnel into a pedestrian and bicycle path, with a crossing solution in soil. We have performed the concept study, the detailed design, assisted in the selection of the contractor, as well as the construction site follow-up and support to the client. The project was the subject of a report and a presentation at the Rock blasting conference 2022. - Sandbukta-Moss-Såstad / SMS 2A
Independent control of the design of all underground works and technical support to Bane NOR for the construction of the Inter City project from Sandbukta, through Moss to Såstad. - E39 Stord Os
For the zoning plan on the E39 from Stord, over Tysnes and up to Os, Amerg Norge has performed engineering geological assessments, 3D modeling of selected tunnels, as well as civil engineering assessments and concept selection for the new E39. - Follobanen
On Norway's largest infrastructure project, Amberg Norway has assisted the client with expertise in the planning, tendering and construction phase of the TBM tunnels. Amberg Norway provided resources in several areas: overall technical responsible, contract, production control of the tunnel segments and control and approval of the construction of the TBM machines, as well as follow-up during the construction period. - E39 Ålgård - Hove
Amberg Norway has been responsible for engineering geology during the preparation of the zoning plan for a new 12 km 4-lane highway from Ålgård to Hove. The project includes two tunnels with a total 5.8 km and high rock cuts. - KVU Oslo Navet
KVU Oslo Navet is an overall planning of future public transport services in the central-eastern of Norway. Amberg Norway assisted with expert assessments of operating methods and technical challenges for tunnels and underground stations. - Consultant services for contractors
Amberg Norway has assisted contractors with various assignments in tender planning, tender design of various special tunnel solutions and driving methods, preparation of mass lists and technical assistance for various facilities.

Our surveying team has supported the contractors and the client during the tunnel construction of the drill and blast contract of the Folloline project. - Follobanen – Innføring Oslo S
Our surveying team has supported the contractor and the client during the tunnel construction of the Follobanen – Innføring Oslo S contract (connection of the tunnel to the Oslo Central Station) of the Folloline project.

A team from the Norwegian Road Administration was trained to use the purchased TSP system continuously during the excavation of the world’s longest and deepest sub-sea road-tunnel. Read the article from TU (Norwegian). - Rv.555 Sotrasambandet
Two tunnel seismic predictions were carried out for Statens Vegvesen which confirmed the presence of several weakness zones ahead of faces. - Förbifart Stockholm
The survey was carried out for Trafikverket from two parallel tunnels in Förbifart project, which confirmed the length of two weakness zones ahead of face and optimize the production planning. - Ryfast – Hundvag tunnel
The TSP survey discovered a weakness zone close ahead of face and ensured the uninterrupted excavation through the zone. Results were presented at the World Tunnelling Conference 2017.
